The Disney Blog has the following tips from Cast Members for Guests visiting the Resorts in hot weather when the parks are crowded.

1. Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated.
2. Shop between the hours of 2 and 4 p.m. when most guests are enjoying the attractions. Use Packet Express to send your packages to the front of the park or to your hotel room if your a resort guest.
3. Go inside to get cool. Disneyland attractions such as the Enchanted Tiki Room, Pirates of the Caribbean and It’s A Small World make perfect places to get away from the heat. At Disney’s California Adventure, try the Golden Dreams theater, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or Soarin’ Over California.
4. Check your guide map for specific times because the theme parks have extended summer hours and often have special entertainment.
5. Make sure to bring your autograph book – that way you can prove that you really met Pluto!

It occurs to me that we could probably add a few more pointers to the list. I might add them to an upcomming page on each resort I am thinking about, if your tips are resort specific please add the resorts three letter tag to the tip – so Disney World tips, please add WDW.

DLP tip to start this off

At Disneyland Resort Paris shop in the morning, eat lunch just before noon (the locals eat between noon and 2pm as a rule) and ride the attractions after you let your lunch settle.

Hot and Rainy in WDW

Honestly the best tip is to take it easy. Come to the parks in the morning ride a few rides than head back to the resort around lunch time when the sun is right over head... Take a nap or go swimming... than come back later in the day once the rest of the crowds that have been at the park all day begin to drag there feet you're ready to go... Not to mention it is a lot nicer at night weatherwise.
The one thing that I always noticed that would bother guess worst than the heat was the rain... and honestly as much as the cast members would like to control the weather (and trust me I wished I could, after all I wore white pants and always got caught in a down pour) there's nothing they can do. So best advice is go with the flow... it's only water... and than you have another excuse to go on Splash Mountain since after all you're already wet. However, if have watched the weather channel and you know there is rain in the forecast (or if you're like my mum and you're knee is hurting, meaning the weather is changing) than head to Epcot, all of the attractions are inside and by cutting through either innoventions or mouse works it's pretty easy to get around without getting too wet.
