Hurricane Irma. Prayers

intercot.com - Fri, 2017-09-08 13:42
I'm right in the path of Irma in a mobile home. Hopefully not too mobile. I could really use some prayers and pixie dust that I'm not left homeless. Ginger and I will be with friends during the storm. It should be a cat 2 according to the news. I'm rounding up pictures, papers and anything that can't be replaced. Using the dishwasher, washer and dryer for storage. Hopefully that works.

Any other suggestions??

Fop

intercot.com - Thu, 2017-09-07 20:13
Is this a simulated ride? Does it move at all? Or is it a sit still that is just virtual? I'm pretty scared of heights, even the lift on Soarin (which I still end up riding), so I'm trying to decide if I can deal or not. I can handle Spaceship Earth only because I know in the back of my head I'm in a secluded area. :mickey:

March maybe not so bad...?

intercot.com - Thu, 2017-09-07 17:14
Totally wishful thinking here, but this is our first March trip (3/5-3/13) and I got every reservation I wanted, even waking up late on my 180 day mark. Also got 3 concurrent BBB reservations for 8am! Hoping this is a good sign that not too many people will be on spring break that week :)

Reasons for SSR Resale Prices Rising?

intercot.com - Thu, 2017-09-07 16:23
Been watching the DVC resale market for a while and have noticed that the prices for Saratoga Springs seem to have climbed $10-$15 a point over what they were a few months ago. Earlier this year there were any number of listings around the 200 point level that were asking $75/pt, and now there's nothing below the low-to-mid $80s.

Was wondering if this was attributable to the Disney Springs refurbishment and SSR's close proximity to this newly re-popular area? Could it just be a current supply-and-demand thing, or a response to ROFR buy backs by Disney? Or is it a seasonal thing with owners looking to recover some 2017 dues? (haven't noticed the same trend at other resorts though)

Anyway, just curious if anybody had an explanation.
